August 2009 – Gander Mountain store 187 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is an official show sponsor and an active part of our event. Gander Mountain will be promoting and featuring THE Outdoor Sports, Lake & Cabin Show in their store for several months prior to the event. Discount admission tickets will also be available at Gander Mountain. At the show, Gander Mountain will be providing hands-on bow hunting and fly fishing demonstrations by leading experts as well as key hunting & fishing speakers on one of our free seminar stages. In addition, you can demo a bow yourself at the show.
July 2009 – Indiana Outfitters - the leading website for all Indiana state park, camping, hiking, canoeing and just plain everything outdoor in Indiana will be the anchor of our camping, hiking, biking and fitness feature area. Look for more details and internet promotions coming from Indiana Outfitters.
July 2009 – Josie O’Donnell joins our team heading up all sales for the travel, vacation and resort feature area of our show. Josie has been in the convention bureau and incentive travel business for over two decades and is a welcome asset to our team.
June 2009 – What a start! After a blast email and mailing to over 1,000 log home and timber frame industry exhibitors, the phone is ringing off the hook with very positive interest. Another distribution went to over 500 regional boat, travel, RV, fishing, hunting, camping, rustic furniture, and outdoor sports companies and all are excited to see a sport show return to the tri-state area. National event industry publications have picked up this event. A press release has gone out to every news agency in the State. Dozens of companies have committed to booths in the very first week of sales. More space was put on hold at the Coliseum. Seminar spaces for our featured speakers are filling up. Major sponsorships are being considered. Be sure you’re a part of this exciting new event concept!
June 2009 – Booth sales and floor plan distribution begins. Immediate and VERY positive response from the log home and timber frame industry as well as past sport, vacation, boat, hunting, fishing, and RV show exhibitors from the tri-state area. Booth spaces are being sold daily and going fast. A small deposit holds your space for years to come. Booth contract & rate card.
May 2009 – THE Outdoor Sports, Lake & Cabin Show releases its floor plan, brochure and booth space agreement. Booths sales begin.
May 2009 – Log Home & Timber Frame magazine ad sales executive, Sarah Collins, joins the Coliseum Productions booth sales team.
May 2009 – Long time show organizer, Jean Stockwell, from FW Media, joins the Coliseum Productions team.
April 2009 – Advanced Expo Solutions is contracted to provide all advance and onsite registration, badge printing, bar-coding and scanners for THE Outdoor Sport Lake & Cabin Show along with all Coliseum Productions events.
April 2009 – Coliseum Productions expands THE Outdoor Sports, Lake & Cabin Show and adds a 3rd hall at the Memorial Coliseum for a total of 108,000 sq. ft. of exciting displays and activities.
April 2009 – Robert Rosen, former Director of Sales for the Log Home & Timber Frame Expos and president of KQ & R, joins the Coliseum Productions team. KQ & R handled all ad sales for the popular magazine titles of Log Homes Illustrated, Timber Frames Illustrated and Custom Wood Homes. Bob’s knowledge and connections of the magazine, log cabin industry, and booth sales procedures will be a huge asset to Coliseum Productions.
March 2009 – Custom Woodcraft Builders and the University of Log Homes agree to sponsor, support, and exhibit in THE Outdoor Sports, Lake & Cabin Show produced by Coliseum Productions.
March 2009 – Coliseum Productions copywrites the show name of THE Outdoor Sports, Lake & Cabin Show.
February 2009 – Karen Tejera, Producer of the Ft. Wayne Home & Garden Show, agrees to manage the extensive $50,000+ advertising campaign of THE Outdoor Sports, Lake & Cabin Show.
January 2009 – Coliseum Productions is incorporated.
December 2009 – The long time Ft. Wayne sport show tradition is expanded to include log cabins, timber frames, outdoor living, patio lifestyles, rustic furniture and wood products.
December 2008 – David Marquart secures 2 halls of the Memorial Coliseum for March 12-14, 2010, to produce THE Outdoor Sports, Lake & Cabin Show puts the other 2 halls on hold for future expansion.
