Here are just a few of the 2012 features and attractions – Lots more to see and do at the show:

  • Mark’s Ark Animals – Children can learn about and take rare photographs with birds, small reptiles and exotic amphibians
  • Pet Real Bear Cubs – Nationally-known Berne Apparel will bring bear cubs, weighing less than 10-pounds, pet them and even get your picture taken.
  • Duck Calling Contest – For the Kids – Saturday, March 17th, 2:30pm at the O’Daniel Jeep Outdoor Sports Stage.

We’ve got some fantastic programs that will be featured on our 3 stages:  O’Daniel’s Jeep Outdoor Sports Stage, Gander Mountain’s Pro Stage, and the Log Home Magazine Stage.  Here are just a few of the seminars already scheduled for 2012.  Click here for the seminar schedule.

  • Hunting Dog Demos – For the first year, Indianapolis-based Hoosier Boy’s Kennel will demonstrate training methods for hunting dogs from opening until close, each day of the show.
  • Hunting Trophy Bucks on Public LandTom Mesnard of Total Land Management will be presenting valuable information on finding and hunting on public land.
  • Morel Mushroom Hunting – Learn the secrets of successful Morel Mushroom hunting with Alex Babich.
  • Fly Fishing for Steelhead – Join Josh Lantz of World Class Fly Fishing as he covers the basics of what you need to do to hook up with a steelhead on the fly, right here in Indiana.
  • Small Boat Fishing on Lake MichiganJeff Eck with The Rodfather Charter Fishing will help you learn how to decide when and where to fish for Lake Michigan Salmon. If you have a small boat and you might be thinking of trying to get in on Lake Michigan Salmon fishing, it can be done. It takes the right planning and timing and a good eye to the weather. This seminar will give you some pointers on what to look for, when and how it can be done with inexpensive equipment.
  • Skemania Steelhead Fishing Out of a Small Boat on Lake Michigan – These tackle busting fish at certain times of the year are easily assessable to small boat fishing not far from shore. This seminar goes into depth on the equipment, baits and tactics you can use to hook a steelhead. Landing them however, you’re on your own.
  • How to Select and Train a Hunting Retriever – Trinity Oaks Labs are home to FIVE Hunting Retriever Champion titled dogs, and holds its place as one of the TOP training and breeding kennels in the region.  They will be holding 4 seminars covering Selecting, Starting, and Training Your Hunting Retriever, as well as providing demos.

Out of Michigan City, Indiana, Washington Park Marina.  Fishing Licenses are not included, this may be in Indiana or Michigan waters depending on the date and fish.
